This is how I feel about so many fallen prominent figures and artists who have a clear grace upon their ministry to carry an anointing from God. When they fall from the platform the grace is still there to be picked up by you. The vessel has cracked but there's still oil on the ground. People can fail and repent but you can still find value in the grace that was given to them. David and others spent their whole life doing it, but the oil stays on the stage waiting for you.

Religion has a lot of leaves. You sang the songs, cried at the altar call, took your shopping list to the prayer meeting and you carried your Bible to church but he's not called us to produce leaves, he's called us to produce fruit. Fruit doesn't grow separate from its source of nourishment. Are you connected to the source or are you going through routines?

There is a difference between giving yourself Vs giving your time. Give your time by all means but guard your heart against giving yourself. Don't do it out of fear and hurt, do it out of wisdom and love.

The person who can confidently walk through the fires of offence and dodge the arrows of accusation and come out the otherside not even smelling of smoke is someone who can't be stopped as they advance and take ground. They will be jars of oil that won't crack and fail.

"Do not entertain any preconceived ideas of how God will meet you. You may be like Elijah on Mount Horeb, waiting to hear from God. First there were three demonstrations of supernatural power: a wind, an earthquake and a fire. But God was in none of them. These were followed by a “still small voice”. The NIV translates it “a gentle whisper.” It was in this quiet, undramatic way that God came to Elijah. Yet when Elijah heard Him, he covered his face with his mantle in reverential awe."

The wind, the earthquake and the fire can represent how we think God should move in our church or in our circumstances. He wasn't in any of those things. He was in the still small voice which came afterwards. And from that gentle whisper came such a strong glory that Elijah had to cover his face.
